Welcome to 'My World',
the world of Kimcatz British Short and Longhairs.
My name is Kim Norton and I live with my husband, Mark, in a small
town called Desborough which is close to Market Harborough on the
Northamptonshire/Leicestershire county border.
I have had a loving for and kept cats all of my life but did not actually own my
first 'Brit' until 2003 and have been breeding them since 2005.
Our prefix 'Kimcatz', is registered with The International Cat Assoc. (Tica) with
with whom we regularly Show, and the Governing Council for the Cat Fancy (GCCF).

Oscar has now been neutered and is living locally with members of our family. His claim to fame is being named as Best Kitten in Show by all 6 judges at the Ragtime Tica Show at Peterborough in June 2011.

It is very much hoped that Monty will remain with us for the meantime until he has sired a litter of kittens before being neutered and moving on to close friends of ours, who are keen to continue to periodically show him with Tica. Pictured above at 22 weeks of age.

Misty's Kittens
It delights us at Kimcatz to announce that we have new arrivals. Misty gave birth on Thu 3 Nov to 3 Blue boys and 1 Blue girl. The kittens are sired by Enzo. All of Misty's kittens are now reserved.

Bonnies's Kittens
In the very early hours of Sun 6 Nov, Bonnie delighted us with her latest litter. She successfully gave birth to 3 Blue & White boys, a Blue Cream girl and a Cream girl. This litter is sired by Prince. All of Bonnie's kittens are now reserved

Saffi's Kittens
On Sunday 11th December, Saffi delivered her first litter comprising of; 2 Blue boys and a Blue & White boy All Kittens in this litter are reserved

Flex's Kittens
On Tue 20th December 2012, Flex successfully gave birth to 2 Blue Cream girls and a Cream boy.

The Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain All Breed Show
On Sunday 9th October, we took Sasha to her debut show at Solihull, where she had a fantastic day coming home as a Champion at the tender age of 9 months, having finalled in 4 of the 6 rings.
Our thanks go to Toni Jones, Irene Van Belzen Phillipa Holmes and Sue Hart-Jones who were instrumental in a successful start to her show career.
Testamonials
Kim and Mark are by far the best British Shorthair breeders that we have had the fortune to meet. They have a real passion for the British Shorthair (and now Longhair) and this is reflected in the high quality of cats that they produce. In addition, all of Kim and Marks cats are well socialised and friendly, with an even temper. At the same time, they are spirited and each has a real character of their own. This is due in no small amount, to the fact that Kim and Mark show their cats a real affection, with pregnant queens living indoors when it comes close to their due time, while mums and their new litters live as part of the family once the kittens are born. Whenever one of their cats is no longer part of their breeding programme, they are neutered and continue to live with Kim and Mark or their close friends, and not simply 'sold on' something that again demonstrates their attachment to and care for their cats. Ugs is a relaxed and happy cat. She gets on brilliantly with our toddler and shows infinite patience with him. At the same time, she is a "real "cat and keeps our house and garden free of mice. From the first day that we met Kim and Mark, they were very welcoming and encouraged us to visit as many times as we liked before finally taking our kitten, Buddy, home. We could see how much care and attention the kittens were given in order to give them the best start in life and to produce well socialised litters. We haven't been disappointed. Buddy was well litter and scratch post trained and settled into our family with ease. He is a very loving, tolerant cheeky boy who is affectionate to pretty much everybody that he meets.
